Our Philosophy
We, at Falesizwe, follow a child-centered educational approach. We make sure that it is based on scientific observations from birth to adulthood. We believe that a child is naturally curious and is capable of initiating learning in a supportive and thoughtfully prepared environment.
About Us
Falesizwe Senior Secondary School was established in January 1973, initially using two borrowed classrooms at Meduwaneng Public School. By 1975, the school had its own buildings and continued expanding with facilities such as a library, laboratory, home economics centre, and woodwork centre. It grew rapidly, attracting learners from surrounding towns and farms, with enrollment increasing from 50 to over 1,600 by 1988. The school gained a strong reputation for academic excellence, maintaining pass rates above 70%, while also excelling in sports, music, and cultural activities.
Throughout its history, Falesizwe was led by several principals and supported by dedicated staff. Despite challenges such as damage during the 1990 riots, the school community rebuilt and strengthened the institution. Today, Falesizwe remains a symbol of resilience, academic success, and community pride.
